Found in the local newspaper the Chelan Mirror.

The classic example of Chelan politics at work. The city decided to build a park, so they spent lots of money and had a concrete pad designed and poured. Then they figured that skateboarders would endanger themselves and others if they didn't have some restrictions. A fence was installed around the slab as a result. Then they still couldn't decide what to do with the park, and there it sat, all summer, just a concrete slab. Now, finally, a few ramps have been placed for your enjoyment. Just in time for the winter snow! Yee HA! Update as of Dec. '02 they now allow bikes, look out!
